Explore St. Mark's Basilica and the Doge's Palace on a late afternoon tour. Meet at the winged lion statue in St. Mark's Square.
Begin the tour as the Doge's Palace closes for the day. See the rulers' apartments and frescoes by Veronese and Tintoretto in the Hall of the Great Council.
Learn about the art, the doge veiled in black, and how the Dukes rose to power. Visit the massive armory and prison cells, and walk the Bridge of Sighs from the inside.
After a short break, visit St. Mark's Basilica, now free from the daytime crowds, and admire its Byzantine beauty.
